Our Process
Architecture that brings clarity — and confidence — to your remodel or new home.
At David Pollard Architect, every project starts with thoughtful design. Remodeling or building a home can feel overwhelming, but our process is built to simplify it: turning your ideas into a clear plan, your plan into detailed drawings, and — if you choose — your drawings into a finished home through our licensed construction company, Liv Companies LLC.
Our Process.
-
Step 1: Feasibility Study
Discover what’s possible.
We begin with a study of your home, site, and goals. Together, we explore layouts, massing, and design options while aligning them with realistic budgets. The result is a clear understanding of what can be achieved — and a confident decision about whether to move forward.
-
Step 2: Detailed Design + Interiors
Refine the vision inside and out.
This is where the design takes shape. We develop detailed architectural drawings while also guiding you through interior design and selections — cabinetry, tile, fixtures, finishes, and lighting — so the look and feel of your home is fully realized. Our design team ensures every decision aligns with your lifestyle, budget, and the architectural intent of the project.
-
Step 3: Build-Ready Documents
From ideas to instructions.
With design and selections finalized, we prepare the construction drawings, specifications, and permit documents needed to build. As a Licensed Architect in North Carolina, David Pollard Architect ensures your plans are code-compliant, thoroughly detailed, and ready for accurate pricing. We can also provide architectural support during construction, reviewing progress and answering questions to make sure the work stays true to the design.
Step 4: Construction (Optional, but seamless)
Design + Build in one team.
While many architects stop at drawings, we offer a streamlined option: David Pollard is also co-founder of Liv Companies LLC, a Licensed General Contractor in North Carolina. That means, if you prefer, we can carry your project straight through construction with the same level of care and attention to detail. This gives you a single source of accountability and a smoother overall experience.
